Sal McCloskey
Board MemberSarah (Sal) McCloskey does abstracts and deed research for lawyers and surveyors in the registries of Hancock, Knox, Penobscot, Waldo and Washington Counties. Sally holds multiple degrees from various institutions including, JD, New England School of Law, Boston, MA; MA, French & Linguistics, Georgetown University, Washington, DC; and BA, French, Mount Holyoke College, South Hadley, MA. Her impressive career also includes founder and president of the East Penobscot Bay Environmental Alliance, a grass roots organization whose purpose was to defend the Bay from salmon pens between 2001 and 2004, challenged licensing and oversight procedures established by the DMR for aquaculture in the State, lobbied in the State Legislature, and organized fundraising in the Towns of Castine, Brooksville, Penobscot, Brooklin, Deer Isle and Stonington to raise funds for a water study of the Bay which ultimately showed that it was unsuitable for salmon aquaculture. Sally is also a member of the Maine State Bar Association and Maine Society of Land Surveyors.
