Michelle Carter
TreasurerOfficer
Michelle Carter is experienced in non-profit accounting and grants management. She graduated from the University of Southern Maine with a BS in Accounting. Her career path has given her opportunities at Youth Alternatives Ingraham (now the Opportunity Alliance), University of New England, Gulf of Maine Research Institute, and the US Fish & Wildlife Service, Office of Conservation Investment to support researchers and program managers with all aspects of grants management, from application to closeout. Each stop along the way has given her the chance to meet new people, work on various projects, and encounter different funding agencies.
She lives in South Portland, Maine, with her husband John. She enjoys paddle boarding, traveling and spending time on the water with family. You will tend to find them on Casco Bay or the Kennebec River fishing and admiring the sturgeon.
