Derek’s call to service with MCCF is driven by his passion for both environmental sustainability and local economic prosperity. A graduate of NYU and Columbia Business School, Derek’s career has spanned roles from investment banking to silicon valley startups. He’s currently Head of Finance for Google Ads in the Americas, based in New York City. He brings deep experience in financial management and fiscal sustainability to MCCF. His passion for the coastal communities of Maine was borne from his youth and the summers he spent returning to Maine year after year, which he continues to do today.

Derek splits his time between his home in Brooklyn, NY and Stonington.
