Fisheries Co-Management: Fish Forever!

Eastern Maine is a place where fishing can be sustained, forever. It is a place where fishing matters: 50 communities stretched over 150 miles of coast where ~3000 independent fishermen are making a living fishing. Sustaining fishing communities and the ocean resources they depend upon through changes in ecology and climate, technology, and markets, is an ambitious goal, fundamental to the way humans live on and use the earth.  Maine Center for Coastal Fisheries was founded in 2003 to make a comprehensive and long term investment to support sustainability in this place.
